Daily Reflection: Monday, February 26

Monday, February 26

There is some good advice in today’s readings from Scripture. This advice is important especially as we use Lent to help us grow in the ways that might not be easy. The First Reading from the Prophet Daniel tells of the goodness of God and how God dealt with the unfaithful Israelites. This is reinforced in the Gospel from Luke which is short but powerful: “Be merciful just as your Father is merciful. Forgive and you will be forgiven…For the measure you measure with which you measure will in return be measured back to you.” Give yourself time to let these words sink in.

Fr. Andrew
