Friday of the Third Week of Lent

I will heal their defection, says the LORD,

I will love them freely.   (Hos 14:5)

Why do people feel like God is out to get them?  The Hebrew Scriptures describe God’s disappointment when his people stray, but the end of the story is always God reaching out to them, healing them, and gathering them again to himself.  Let us always surrender to God’s forgiveness and then help others receive God’s comfort.
