Daily Reflection: Wednesday, March 30

Wednesday, March 30

There is an important section in today’s First Reading from Isaiah. Toward the end of the reading, Zion is quoted as saying: ”The Lord has forsaken me; my Lord has forgotten me.” Did you ever feel this way about the Lord? I am sure that we have all at one time or another. Isaiah concludes this section with: “Can a mother forget her infant, be without tenderness for the child in her womb? Even should she forget. I (the Lord) will never forget you.” Such a tender and comforting sentence. This is certainly to recall on those trying days..
