Daily Reflection: Wednesday, July 21

Wednesday, July 21

I have watched the plants grow in my garden in Beach Haven from the seeds that I planted in May.  I have made a zucchini casserole and had salad from the lettuce grown in the garden. I am waiting for the tomatoes and eggplant. For all of this to happen, it takes time, patience and my attentiveness. If I let things go, the weeds would take over or the ground would harden. God’s presence in our lives is similar to this. Some days I would check the plants and they were wilting. Time to get out the hose and give them a good watering. Much of the plant’s growth happened because of the rain and sun that God has given. Think about your progress in the spiritual life- sometimes even we “wilt”.
