Saints of God, the Lord be with you! Today’s Gospel according to Matthew (5: 43-48) was written to encourage a church being persecuted to imitate Christ by loving enemies and praying for those who persecute you. YIKES! However, since this is exactly what Jesus did while being crucified, shouldn’t’ we, the Body of Christ in the world, try to do the same?
