Daily Reflection: Saturday, July 24

Saturday, July 24

We continue reading the Book of Exodus today. Moses had given the Commandments from the Lord and the response of the people was “All that the Lord has said, we will heed and do.” Then Moses takes the blood from the sacrifice of the young bulls and sprinkles the people with it. This symbolic gesture  shows that the people and God are bound to together now. The presence of God in their lives is something real and active. “I will be your God and you will be my people.” This relationship, this bond continues.
