Wednesday June 5

God saved us and called us to a holy life, not according to our works but according to God’s own design. All is free gift of God, even our call to holiness. That call is for each of us, for all of us, not for a limited few. We are all saved and freed from our selves to live in God. That is holiness – that is the universal call. It does not depend on the religious organization to which we belong, to the church or temple or mosque, since God is the God of all. Let us honor that call in all our sisters and brothers. Let us try to live out that call in peace, as God’s holy people.
