Daily Reflection: Tuesday, July 2

Tuesday July 2

We live in an age of challenges – environmental, political, social. The waves threaten to swamp us and turn us over into a sea of turmoil. We may feel that Jesus, though in our boat, is sound asleep! But he is not! Jesus is present in the midst of our lives and our struggles. Remembering this, remaining hopeful can be very difficult, especially if we keep up with the news both here and abroad. But his words to the disciples: “Why are you terrified, O you of little faith?” are also spoken to us. Are we more focused on the turmoil than on the power of God? Our mission is to make his presence and his power known in a world of chaos!
