Friday July 5
“Those who are well do not need a physician. . . I did not come to call the righteous but sinners.” Pope Francis uses this theme in many of his words to us and the world. We are invited to be humble enough to recognize our own sinfulness and to be willing to accept everyone as Jesus did. Francis calls the Church a ‘field hospital’ where all are treated with compassion and mercy. This is our call, to be compassionate lovers who heal the world. (This starts at home with those closest to us!)
