Daily Reflection: Wednesday, May 25

Wednesday, May 25

The reading from the Acts of the Apostles tells of St. Paul at Athens.  He tells the people that he noticed that they are very religious; however, he also noticed that he found an altar “To an Unknown God.” This gives him the opportunity to proclaim that the true God is the One who made the heavens and the earth and gives everyone life and breath and that this God is not far from any one of them. He further says: “In Him we live and move and have our being” because we are His offspring. St. Paul’s God is very close to us and connected to us. A thought to carry with us today is: “In Him we live and move and have our being.”
