Daily Reflection: Tuesday, June 7
Tuesday, June 7
Great readings for Mass today. There is the very touching story of Elijah and his encounter with the widow. Elijah asks her for a cup of water and some bread. She says that she has just a little flour and oil for her and her son but she does as requested. Elijah tells her that her flour and oil will not go empty …and it doesn’t because of her generosity. In the Gospel Mathew reminds us that we are the light of the world and the salt of the earth. Yes, us. We are light and salt. God has a very generous way of dealing with us.
