St. Francis Xavier is our saint for the day. He was a great missionary in Asia and is regarded as a cofounder of the Jesuits. Like Jesus in today’s Gospel, he moved around proclaiming the “Good News” and healing and baptizing. It is said that he baptized hundreds of thousands of people. What great energy and zeal he showed throughout his life. And how it continued after him. Come, Lord Jesus!
