Daily Reflection: Wednesday, September 14

Wednesday, Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,

but that the world might be saved through him.   (Jn 3:12)

The whole world.  We are concerned with our own personal salvation and God is, too, but God is concerned about the whole world.  God’s creation is beautiful, but we are aware of its wounds.  In prayer and action, we are called to work for the salvation of all and the healing of the natural world.
