Wednesday of the First Week in Ordinary Time

Speak, for your servant is listening.  (1 Sm 3:10)

Young Samuel, as yet unwearied by human hearts, was awake with eager anticipation for what the Lord might say to him.  There is no ego in him, only readiness to serve the Lord.  Can we share his pure desire?
