Daily Reflection: Monday, July 15

Monday, July 15

We Franciscans celebrate the life of St. Bonaventure today. He is regarded as the

Second Founder of the Franciscan Order as he tried to lead the Order forward

amidst the various factions within the Order at that time. He wrote on the

movement of a person’s spiritual life as it coming closer to union with God. He

wrote “A spiritual joy is the greatest sign of the divine grace dwelling in a soul.”

He was made a Cardinal and later was declared a Doctor of the church. Pause for

a moment and pray for all Franciscans.

Fr. Andrew
