Daily Reflection: Saturday, July 20

Saturday, July 20

The Pharisees were frequently looking for a reason to put Jesus to death. He knew

enough to move away to another place but it did not stop him from curing those

who needed to be cured. Jesus understood what Isaiah had said: “Behold my

servant whom I have chosen, my beloved in whom I delight; I shall place my spirit

upon him. He will proclaim justice to the gentiles.” This kept him going in spite of

obstacles and threats to his life. What strength and determination he had! You

can have some of that too.
