Daily Reflection: Monday, January 30

Monday of the Fourth Week in Ordinary Time

Go home to your family and announce to them all that the Lord in his pity has done for you.   [Mk5:19]

In pagan Gerasene territory, Jesus cures a man afflicted by a “Legion” of unclean spirits.    Although the man spread his story far and wide, Jesus had only instructed him to go home and tell his family of the Lord’s goodness.  Each of us has been touched by the Lord’s kindness.  Isn’t our family the first place we should share the good news?  It may be the hardest place, but don’t we owe it to them?
