Daily Reflection: Thursday, October 3

The Transitus of St. Francis is celebrated in Franciscan churches and Friaries and Monasteries throughout the world this evening. This simple ceremony places before us the final moments of the life of this saint who has been beloved throughout the ages. In words and actions, it presents to us the final moments of his life. He welcomed “Sister Death” not with fear but with a cordial greeting because Francis was going to the embrace of “Deus meus and Omnia”, My God and My All.
