Daily Reflection: Wednesday September 25

Jesus gave the Twelve power! Power over demons and illnesses and sent them out to use that power to proclaim the Kingdom. He sent them out defenseless – taking nothing with them to sustain them on the journey except their only tunic.  They were to depend on the goodness of others and go from village to village carrying out his mission. His power was enough – they were blessed by it and were successful in their mission.
