Daily Reflection: Wednesday, August 7, 2024 – 18th Week in Ordinary Time

Today’s respond comes from a psalm found in The Book of Jeremiah chapter 31. This portion comes from the part of the song entitled The Road of Return. This chapter is full of hope for the people to return to Jerusalem from exile. We read “I will turn their mourning into joy, I will console and gladden them after their sorrows.” What are you mourning? What is your sorrow? Bring this to God in prayer. How is God consoling and given you joy?
