Wednesday, December 27

St. John the Evangelist’s feastday is today. He was young when he started to follow Jesus and was with Jesus throughout His public life and experienced His death and resurrection. When you read John’s Gospel, you discover very soon that for John, Jesus is not only his “way, truth and life” but is THE way the truth and the life. Throughout his writings, we find the word “love” many times. This was his understanding of Jesus and the purpose of His life. This is so important for us and our world.
