Daily Reflection: Thursday, December 28

Thursday, December 28

The Feast of the Holy Innocents is a tragic remembrance of how Herod used his power to destroy. Matthew’s Gospel, Chapter 2, tells the horrible slaughter of the young as ordered by Herod. We believe that life is precious at every stage, but we

are particularly moved when infants and the young become victims of power. The dignity of all people challenges us to look at all life as sacred.
