Daily Reflection: Saturday, December 30

Saturday, December 30

There is a very interesting Letter of St. John in today’s Mass. In it he writes to three groups: to children, to young men and to fathers. I’m sure if he were to write this today, he would also include young women and mothers and more. He wants to remind everyone that the things of the world are “passing away” but “whoever does the will of God remains forever.” He bases this on the fact that Jesus did the will of the Father and He remains forever. Our good deeds and our positive actions will leave their mark, even though we may not be aware of this.

Fr. Andrew
