Daily Reflection: Monday, January 1

Monday, January 1, 2024 – Solemnity of Mary, The Holy Mother God https://bible.usccb.org/bible/readings/010124.cfm

In today’s Gospel reading from Luke, we read about how the shepherds visited the infant Jesus and how they spread the word about all that they had witnessed. We are told indirectly how amazed Mary was by these visitors and how she kept all these things, reflecting on them in her heart. There are two things we can reflect on today. First, do we spread the word about what God has done in our lives? Second do we reflect on the things that happen to us in our hearts and souls to see how God is working in our lives.
