Daily Reflection: Thursday, April 27

April 27  Thursday of the Third Week of Easter

Philip and the eunuch both went down into the water, and he baptized him.  When they came out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord snatched Philip away, and the eunuch saw him no more.  (Acts 8:38-39)

It was a great moment of grace for the man who came to faith and was baptized by Philip.  It was probably a grace for Philip, too, but he was not allowed to linger in the moment, relishing what the Lord had done through him.  He was off to proclaim the Lord elsewhere.  It may seem a trivial thought, but there is no time waste in proclaiming the Kingdom of God.
