Daily Reflection: Friday, May 5

Friday May 5

“Do not let your hearts be troubled.” John14:1

Jesus is telling the disciples that their faith in God, which has been their stronghold, needs to be broadened to faith in him. He is the way to the Father - he was with him in the beginning and through him all things came to be. This truth does not depend on our understanding of it – it just is because of the very nature of God. It is enough to keep our hearts untroubled if we trust in God’s word and live in God’s love.
