Daily Reflection: Tuesday, May 30

Tuesday May 30

The book of Sirach tells us not to appear before God empty handed! It refers to avoiding injustice, giving alms, doing works of charity, refraining from evil. Give to the Most High as he has given to you. Note that the ‘empty handed’ does not refer to material possessions. We are invited to do justice and give up things that keep us from following Jesus completely. We have to recognize who we are before God and come seeking God’s fulness!
