Daily Reflection: Friday, March 24

Friday, March 24

The Friday Readings during Lent point us to Good Friday and what happened to Jesus on that day. Today we also remember the assassination of Oscar Romero who was treated by those in power the same way Jesus was treated and who was eventually murdered. The Reading from the Book of Wisdom can be referred to both men: “…his life is not like that of others, and different are his ways.” Both men had a dedication and love for the people; both were men of their word and were willing to lay down their lives.
