Daily Reflection: Friday, April 21

Friday, April 21

The multiplication of the loaves by Jesus is a marvelous account of one way in which Jesus provided for the needs of the people. Remember the wedding feast at Cana. The situations that he encountered at which he accomplished these miracles reflect tough situations that were present at the time: a wedding feast without enough wine, a crowd with little to eat. While many accounts of Jesus show him doing something for individuals, here are crowds and human needs. Our appreciation of Jesus deepens as we understand the extent of his efforts. It happened then and even now.
