April 25 Feast of St. Mark, Evangelist

The Gospel of Mark begins: The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ the Son of God.  From there Marks tells the “good news” of who Jesus was and what he did and said.  At the end of his Gospel, Mark recounts how Jesus commissioned his Apostles.  Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature. 

 For us who have joyfully received the good news, there is no slack.  When we say, “I believe,” we also commit to proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ.  To the whole world.
