Daily Reflection: Monday, June 7

Monday, June 7

Saints of God, the Lord be with you! If there is any take away from the first reading (2 Cor. 1:1-7) is that the word encourage/encouragement is used 10 times by St. Paul. The Beatitudes of Matthew (Mt. 5:1-12) in today’s Gospel are simply words of encouragement to those who might feel overwhelmed. Jesus Christ is the encouragement of God in the flesh for us. Who do we know that needs to be encouraged? Let us be the encouragement of God to them.
