Friday of the Ninth Week in Ordinary Time

 David himself calls him ‘lord’;

so how is he his son?”   (Mk 12:37)

Jesus knows that he is a descendent of David.  He is not casting doubt on his lineage, but wit a little wit leads us to see him as much greater than David’s son.  We know him as Son of the Most High and we worship him.
