Daily Reflection: Monday, October 2

Monday, October 2

The Prophet Jeremiah speaks in God’s name saying to the chosen people: “They shall be my people and I will be their God with faithfulness and justice.” We are reminded of this as the church celebrates the Holy Guardian Angels today. The Opening Prayer at Mass says how God will protect his people. It says that God sent his holy angels: “that we may always be defended by their protection and rejoice eternally in their company.” This is one way that the Lord will be close to us. “In the presence of the angels, I will praise you, my God.”
