Daily Reflection: Tuesday, March 26
Tuesday, March 26
We read in today’s Gospel of Judas’ betrayal of Jesus. Judas had followed Jesus and had a close relationship with Him, but he must have been a troubled man to go to the extent of betraying Jesus. He was one of the “chosen” and experienced the depth of love and concern that Jesus had for so many people. “Betrayal” is a sad reality, especially with one that had followed Jesus and witnessed what He had accomplished. Unfortunately, “betrayal” is a part of life and for those who have experienced it, much healing is needed for the person betrayed. It is not easy to pray: “Forgive us our trespasses and we forgive those who trespass against us.”
