Daily Reflection: Saturday, July 2

Saturday, July 2

Often the teachings and actions of Jesus were new and were disturbing to the authorities. He would violate the sabbath when something good could happen. He and his disciples didn’t fast the way that others did. Hespoke of the commandment to love one another as a “new commandment.” His ways went beyond the current and accepted ways of fulfilling the commandments. We encounter many “new” things today. Could they be some aspect of this “new commandment?”
