Daily Reflection: Monday, July 4

July 4  Independence Day

Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God.  Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.  (Philippians 4:6-7)

Today is a day of celebration.  It is important to bless this day by pondering what our country is about and to pray for the wellbeing and goodness of the USA.  Kermit the Frog says, “It’s not easy being green.”  I think that it is not easy being America.  That’s why we need to pray.
