Daily Reflection: Thursday, July 28

July 28   Thursday of the Seventeenth Week in Ordinary Time

I went down to the potter’s house and there he was, working at the wheel.  Whenever the object of clay which he was working on turned out badly in his hand, he tried again, making of the clay another object of whatever sort he pleased.  (Jeremiah 18:3-4)

Sometimes we need a fresh start.  Does it seem like a decision that we make on our own?  This little story from Jeremiah lets us know that God is always ready for a “do over” to help us be the person he needs us to be.
