18th Week in Ordinary Time

https://bible.usccb.org/bible/readings/080222.cfm

Our Gospel reading is the narrative of The Walking on the Water found in the gospel of Matthew. The disciples where on a boat sailing the sea and were terrified because of a storm that came upon them. While Jesus was coming to calm the storm he said to his disciples, “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.” Yesterday, the challenge was to place our hope in God’s love. Today the challenge is not to be afraid but put our trust in God who will calm our personal storms. Today pray for the courage to give God your storm(s) and place your trust in God’s willingness to calm our fears.
