18th Week in Ordinary Time

The response to today’s psalm is “The Lord will guard us as a shepherd guards his flock.” Monday’s challenge was to place our hope in God’s love. Tuesday’s challenge was to place our trust in God’s peace. Instead of a challenge we have a reminder; that God is not a bully or a God who created us for God’s pleasure or to be manipulated for enjoyment. God wants us to be fully alive to become all we were created to be. The image of the shepherd for God shows that God is our protector and nurture us to become the best version of ourselves.
