Memorial of St. John Vianney

https://bible.usccb.org/bible/readings/080422.cfm

Our first reading is from the Book of the Prophet Jeremiah. The prophet tells the readers that God told him, “I will be their God, and they shall be my people”. God desires to be in an intimate relationship with us; not a relationship where we need to prove that we deserve the bond or one that we are unsure how to please God. This relationship comes from God’s unconditional love that God has for each one of us. The only thing God wants from us is to love others like God love us. Today take a few minutes of quiet to reflect on God’s love for us.
