Daily Reflection: Monday, October 30

Monday, October 30

Today’s Gospel from Luke has the wonderful incident of Jesus curing a woman who for 18 years had been crippled and bent over. It is a sabbath and the synagogue leaders are indignant that he would cure her on this day. Jesus always knows human suffering when he encounters it, he acts immediately. Sometimes we just have to do what needs to be done and take advantage of the moment which may not repeat itself. Gong out on a limb shows our trust in God’s leading us and inspiring us to do NOW what needs to be done.
