Daily Reflection: Wednesday, November 8

Wednesday of the Thirty-First Week in Ordinary Time

Owe nothing to anyone, except to love one another….  (Rom 13:8)

Simple enough.

Our relationships can be complex.  Duties and responsibilities come into play.  Sometimes events, histories, and wounds complicate things.  Love can be obscured.

When St. Paul writes of the debt of love, he tells us to have it as the foundation of everything we do; to love as Jesus loves us.  Love is desiring the good of the other, even above ourselves.
