Daily Reflection: Saturday, July 15

Saturday, July 15

We celebrate the feast of St. Bonaventure today, he is regarded as the second founder of the Franciscans because of his leadership during a time when the Friars were divided in their approach to living the Rule of Life of St. Francis. He is one of the doctors of the church because of his theological and spiritual writings. The Journey of the Mind to God and his Biography of the Life of St. Francis are two of his important writings. In 1273 he was made a Cardinal. “May my heart and mind be ever fixed immovably now and forever on You.” ( from one of his prayers)

Fr. Andrew
