The Feast of Mary Magdalene

Have you seen him who my heart loves?   (Song of Songs 3:3)

The Song of Songs is a biblical love poem valued for its expression of mystical love.  In the gospel of John, Mary Magdalene provides the outstanding example of that love as she weeps at the tomb of Jesus.  Bereft, she is suddenly overwhelmed with joy when Jesus says her name.  We long to share her ardor.
