Monday July 24

Sometimes we think we have to do it all! Save the world from war and violence, solve the climate crisis, cure the sick, repair family divisions, make our political system work better! And yes, we do have an obligation to work to make our world safer and more in keeping with the values of Jesus. But we do not do it alone, not even in conjunction with other people of goodwill. It is God who saves us from destruction. It was God who saved the Israelites from the Egyptians even when they despaired.
