Daily Reflection: Wednesday, July 26

Wednesday July 26

It appears that the children of Israel got fed up after only two months away from the Egyptians! Pardon the pun, but they were not fed and were hungry enough to complain against Moses. So God fed them with manna, a food they did not recognize. If they only knew how long they would be in the desert they might have been happy to eat whatever they were given! When we hunger for God, we may have trouble seeing how God comes to us in unusual ways. We may not recognize the food that God is giving us; we are invited to be grateful and be open to God’s presence among us, even in surprising ways.
