Daily Reflection: Monday, July 31

Monday, July 31, 2023 – St. Ignatius of Loyola, Priest – Memorial

https://bible.usccb.org/bible/readings/073123.cfm

Today we celebrate the memorial of Ignatius Loyola, the founder and the first Father General of the Society of Jesus, Jesuits. He is the author of the Spiritual Exercise that is still used today. We heard this parable of the mustard seed a few weekends ago. It is one of my favorite images found in scripture. It is a hopeful image. Jesus reminds us that all we need is just a little faith and with some effort from us, and with the help of the Holy Spirit we can make the kingdom present here on earth.
