Daily Reflection: Thursday, February 23

Thursday, February 23

And so we begin Lent by hearing Jesus say: “If anyone wishes to come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.” This is not a negative invitation but an invitation to become closer to Jesus, to walk with Him, to pay attention to Him, to be blessed by the One who heals, forgives, and loves each of us. The response today is directed to each of us: “Blessed are they who hope in the Lord.”
