Monday of the First Week in Lent

I was hungry and you gave me food.  (Mt 25:35)

 Both readings from mass today (Lv 19:1-2, 11-13 and Mt 25:31-46) are about the justice and compassion we owe to our neighbor, neighbor in the widest sense.

Grounded on the reality of God’s infinite love for us, we simply have to live our lives not for ourselves, but for others.  A tall order.  It’s what disciples do.
