Daily Reflection: Friday, March 17

Friday, March 17, 2023– 3rd Week of Lent

In our gospel reading we hear that the first of all the commandments is “Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is Lord alone! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.  In our psalm we read, “There shall be no strange god among you now shall you worship any alien god.” Reflection: Do I place God first in my life or place things that society tell me are important?  Do I worry about my status at my job, among my friends? Am I consume with material goods? Have my wants become my gods?
